India will consistently stay appreciative of Subhas Chandra Bose for his boldness and permanent commitment to opposing expansionism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday.
Paying tributes to Bose on his 123rd birth commemoration, the head administrator said that he went to bat for the advancement and prosperity of his kindred Indians.
"On 23rd January 1897, Janakinath Bose wrote in his journal, 'A child was conceived in the early afternoon.' This child turned into a valorous political dissident and scholar who dedicated his life towards one extraordinary reason India's opportunity," Modi said alluding to Bose, prevalently called Netaji.
